Marco Polo programme

The University of Campania Luigi Vanvitelli, with its sixteen Departments and eight seats located between Naples and Caserta, promotes a vocational training offer integrated with the territory, supports quality research and encourages new entrepreneurial initiatives from research groups, in a constant perspective of internationalization and cultural exchange with other universities.

Currently there are nearly 28 thousand students and 16 Departments:

Aversa with the School of Polytechnics and of the Basic Sciences with the Departments of Engineering, Architecture and Industrial Design;

Caserta with the Departments of Mathematics and Physics (witch also belongs to the School of Polytechnics and of the Basic Sciences), Psychology, Political Science, Environmental, Biological and Pharmaceutical Sciences and Technologies;

Santa Maria Capua Vetere with the Departments of Law, Humanities and Cultural Heritage;

Capua with the Department of Economics;

Naples with the School of Medical Sciences and 7 Departments.


Marco Polo programme

With reference to the Marco Polo programme, the University is implementing and strengthening the dissemination of its training offer to Chinese graduates. Chinese students interested to the Vanvitelli training offer can access for a free evaluation test, which will be available online through the e-learning platform in the period between June 10 and July 10.

The ranking list that will be prepared by the university for each course will take into account the outcome of the evaluation test and the Gaokao (test for access to Chinese universities).
The result of the evaluation will be notified to the interested parties by formalizing their pre-enrolment to courses provided in Italian for the academic year 2019/2020 to enable to start visa applications by the Italian Embassy in China by July 31 2018.



PhD programmes a.y. 2018/2019

The call for applications for the PhD Programmes of the 34th cycle, a.y. 2018/2019 is now online.

The University of Campania “Luigi Vanvitelli” has 13 doctorate programmes for the academic year 2018/2019 providing advanced, postgraduate preparation in scientific research. The courses, lasting 3 years, are grouped by thematic areas in three Schools.

To participate in the PhD programmes selections you have to submit your application following the information provided in the call for applications.

National School of Administration (SNA in Italian), accommodation agreement at the Caserta Residential Center

The agreement with the Caserta Residential Center of the National School of Administration has been renewed.

The Residential and Study Center (CRS in Italian) of the National School of Administration is located in Caserta, Corso Trieste - n. 2, in one of the two elliptical hemicycles of the Royal Palace commissioned by Charles III of Bourbon and built in the second half of the eighteenth century by Luigi Vanvitelli.

The residential structure covers an area of about 4,000 square meters divided on four levels and has 43 single rooms, 9 double rooms, which can be used in agreement by students, guests and staff of the University.

The cost of accommodation, including breakfast, is € 25.00 per person per night.

Erasmus + and other exchange programmes

If you want to add an international dimension to your educational path by spending a study period abroad, the University of Campania Luigi Vanvitelli is pleased to welcome you.


The Erasmus+ Program is an EU funded mobility programme allowing you to spend between three and twelve months at a European university.
You can attend courses, sit exams and earn credits for your studies.
You will receive a grant from the Erasmus+ programme to help you cover your costs.
As an Erasmus+ student, you will earn credits for your learning activities, and  have access to all the services the host university offers its own students. 



The aim of the LLP/Erasmus Programme (that is one of the four sub-programmes of the Lifelong Learning Programme) is to contribute to the quality of university education and training by stimulating trans-national cooperation among universities and by promoting exchange of experiences among students, researchers, faculty and administrative staff of the selected higher education institutions in the participating countries.
